## FAQ

### Does running matter files through AI waive privilege?
Disclosing privileged material to a third party can create waiver risk — which is exactly why we deploy models that run inside your firm. With on-prem AI, privileged files are never transmitted to an outside provider, so the analysis happens without a third party ever touching the data.

### Can the model train on our clients’ files?
No. On a local deployment, your documents are used to answer your prompts and nothing else — there is no third-party provider to retain them, and the model is not training on your data. You own the model and the infrastructure it runs on.

### Do we have to send anything to the cloud?
No. An on-prem deployment runs entirely on hardware in your office and keeps working without an internet connection. We can also do hybrid setups where only non-sensitive work touches the cloud — your call, and we’ll tell you plainly which parts belong where.

### Is this realistic for a small or mid-sized firm?
Yes. We scope deployments to the size of the firm, and because a local model has no per-token or per-seat usage bill, the economics often work better for a firm that uses AI heavily than a metered cloud subscription would.

### How does this square with our ethics and confidentiality obligations?
